Phase 6 - Decking Installation:

This is a two-phase project ; 1) forming and grading 2) pouring the concrete. The decking will be placed around the pool as shown on the plan.

If you need to make any changes, it is important to contact your pool company right away. Your contract should show the square footage costs for decking. Any changes made after the decking has been formed will require an additional labor charge.

FACTS:

  • The building inspector should check materials and workmanship once the area has been formed and graded.
  • Do NOT walk on the new deck for at least 2-3 days and do not place anything abrasive (chairs, tables, etc.) for at least 30 days.
  • Prior to pouring the concrete all electrical, plumbing and drainage beneath the deck should be installed.
  • Water the deck lightly twice a day, early morning and late evening during hot weather.

Opposite view of salt finish The decking color we choose was Sequoia Sand with a salt finish. A color is not necessary and will cost a bit more. Sequoia Sand goes good with the moss rock and our background.

Another picture of the decking (Sequoia Sand). It is a very light brown/tan color.
