Phase 5 - Tile - Masonry - Rockwork:

According to our Swimming Pool Company, you do not need to be present during this phase.

This job has been subcontracted out to a tile company and the waterfall work is being completed by a Masonry Company.

If you are home when the tile setter arrives, confirm with him/her that the tile being used is the pattern you selected.

FACTS:

  • After the pool has been tiled, the pool area should NOT be watered for at least 24 hours to allow the grout to dry completely.
  • The tiles may loosen or break if you enter the pool or walk around the edges.
  • Keep any extra tile pieces that may be used to replace broken tiles.

The tile pieces are placed on the edge of the pool. This work is very constant and diligent to keep the tiles straight and the pattern consistent. Once the tile has been set, the grout is put between the tiles to hold them in place.

It is imperative to confirm the tile is the correct color and pattern that you had chosen.

These are pictures of the waterfall being built. The rocks are real. Many of them were taken from our property. Most of the rocks are known as moss rocks and have a green moss growing on them, which gives them a foothill look and feel.
