Have you been thinking about installing an inground Swimming Pool?
You have come to the right place. This website will take you through
step by step procedures and pictures of the progress involved in creating
a beautiful swimming pool. We will give you the facts and what you
need to know before you continue. Always check the Better Business
Bureau (BBB) in your area prior to selecting your Swimming Pool Company.
It is essential to confirm the company does not have a negative record.
There
are several Swimming Pool Companies and all of them will be eager
to build your swimming pool. My suggestion would be to select a company
in your area that is knowledgeable about your geographical situations.
In our case we chose a company familiar with situations that apply
to living in the Foothills; working on slopes, dealing with big boulders,
leach lines, changeable weather, etc.
I
would recommend getting estimates from at least 4 to 6 swimming pool
companies before deciding on the company that best meets your needs.
It is important to have everything in writing and make sure you are
comparing the exact same details with each company.
FACTS:
- All
Swimming Pool companies are not the same, they can range in price,
payment procedures, subcontracting, insurance, etc. Make sure you
check the Better
Business Bureau (BBB)
in your area to confirm the contractor has a good rating. Also, you
must have a good working relationship with the contractor you select.
- The
customer is responsible for site specifications. You must have basic
information about your property as; setbacks to property lines, easements,
locations of water, sewer, utility line, know rock or ground water
problems, excavation area properly compacted, drainage, equipment
access, electrical, gas and water pressure.
- Your
pool company should have proper permits from your county and the building
inspector will visit your site during several of the phases to confirm
all the work is completed to code.
- Your
Swimming Pool contractor will make suggestions on design, placement,
size, etc. Ultimately, you have the final decision on everything,
so think them through thoroughly.
